Aaron Jones – owner, chief videographer, editor
Aaron started Exodous Digital Productions in 2004, while attending Central Michigan University’s School of Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts. Initially covering small events like conferences and academic presentations, he quickly developed an interest in wedding videography.
In 2007, Aaron served as Head Editor on a feature length documentary entitled Shooting Michael Moore. The film premiered in theaters in October of 2008, and has since been distributed on DVD both domestically and internationally. This opportunity allowed Aaron to gain more than just the professional experience that came with editing a widely distributed documentary; he was able to invest his experience in building a first-class videography business.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Aaron returned to Central Michigan University and served as a Graduate Assistant while working on a Master’s Degree in Film Theory and Criticism. As a G.A., he spent two years instructing the lab portion of the School’s introductory video production class, and also served as Executive Producer of the college television station’s flagship program, Central View. Over the span of two years, Aaron received four state-level, and five national-level awards for his work as EP.
After leaving CMU in 2008, Aaron and his wife, Katie, moved to Southern Illinois, where she began working on a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at Southern Illinois University. Since arriving in the area, Aaron has teamed up with some of the area’s most talented minds, and has invested a great deal of time into evaluating and restructuring the company to fit this new and unique region of the country.
In December of 2009, Aaron joined the news team at WSIL-TV3 in Carterville, IL. Serving as an Associate Producer, he spent his time editing news videos and running cameras during their nightly newscasts. In October of 2010, he accepted a promotion to the Weekend Director position, and now sits behind the production control board, overseeing the technical quality of everything viewers see.

Eric Mittan – videographer, editor, chief of marketing
Eric’s resume is as varied as it is impressive. After getting his start in video in the cutthroat wedding videography market that is Chicago, he spent a year working in the education department of a robotics company, often working as a one-man production team.
In 2007, Eric’s career took a turn towards broadcasting, and he was named Chief Editor at WSIL-TV in Carterville, Illinois, where his responsibilities most often include supervising video for stories in the 5pm newscast, as well as acting as an incidental librarian and archivist for the collected video in the newsroom.
Eric has been more than happy to return to his roots in Wedding Videography with Exodous, and often solves most of the most technical issues that arise. A recovering perfectionist, he most often handles compression for final delivery and web display. He is an Apple Certified Professional in Final Cut Pro 7 and Color 1.0. It would be difficult to find any more capable or demanding hands to ensure that the quality of your video is preserved from each end of the editing process.
